Graphic Design/Yearbook

The Graphic Design Pathway will be phased out during the 2021-22 school year.

During the 2021-22 school year, Juniors and Seniors who need to complete their Arts and Communication pathway can take yearbook and work with the yearbook teacher to complete their Arts and Communication pathway.

Beginning in 2021-22, Yearbook will be open only to Juniors and Seniors who have completed two years of CTE or are completing an Arts and Communications pathway (2021-22 only).

Puke Hoʻohaliʻa makahiki 1

This course introduces students to planning and producing the school’s yearbook. Writing of copy, captions, and headlines; typing; designing and completing layouts; working with photography; and meeting deadlines are included.

Puke Hoʻohaliʻa makahiki 2

This course is for second-year yearbook students. Students are assigned sections to edit, and plan and supervise the work of others on sections. As editors, they also work with faculty members and the administrative staff in planning, scheduling, and carrying out the work to be done.
