In 2024, we welcomed over 400 kūpuna to our campus. As you can imagine, it takes many hands and hours, as well as a lot of cooperation, to plan and execute such a large event. We firmly believe that if we all work together in unison--laulima & lōkahi--no task is too big. Haumāna, mākua, kumu, and limahana working together can accomplish anything!
Here is what you need to know to help make Lā Kūpuna enjoyable for our kūpuna:
Invite Your Kūpuna
- Each ʻohana may invite up to 4 kūpuna
Register Your Kūpuna
- Use the QR code to register and reserve a complimentary lunch for your kūpuna
- After registering, tickets for kūpuna will be sent home with your keiki
- Register by 2:00pm on Friday, February 27
Prepare Your Kūpuna
- Check-In
- Check-in will begin at 7:30 am
- Each registered kupuna must check in to receive their lunch ticket
- Kūpuna should check in by 8:30 am to ensure a seat under the tent
- Morning refreshments will be available at the food tent
- Bring a water bottle (water stations will be made available along with paper cups)
- Kūpuna Tent & Seating
- Due to limited space, seating is reserved for kūpuna with a lunch ticket
- Please make other arrangements for child care (if your kūpuna babysit) so all kūpuna can move about easily and enjoy the day.
- No strollers in the kūpuna tent
- Please do not invite Ānuenue students to sit and stay with their kūpuna under the tent (A short visit is acceptable.)
- PARKING is VERY limited.
- It is best for kūpuna to be dropped off or arrive together in one car
- Only 3 handicapped parking spaces are available on campus
